Plots(1)
In savage 1970s London, respectable middle-class housewife slash mother Joan (Tracy Reed) is uncrowned queen of a generation of gorgeous women who take time off their regular day-jobs to earn extra income as paid assassins.
But even in these troubled times, it isn't all about the money. Some of the swinging sexy Hit Girls do it for charity. With typical British understatement, from Abbey Road to Bond Street, liquidations are made to look like accidents or suicides, even when Joan herself is involved in an aggressive takeover bid.
For uncaring spouses, rapture quickly turns to doom. See golf widows become real widows, quick as a hole in one. Cheer as neglected wives collect insurance money and happily move on with their lives. Women like the idea and men, despite themselves, can't help lapping up Joan's leggy man-eaters.
