Plots(1)
Raising Miranda is a comedy sitcom about a single father who is having a hard time bringing up his teenage daughter. A Midwest suburban contractor Donald Marshak (James Naughton) is a fish out of water after his wife (Carol Summers) leaves, forcing him to stay home to take care of his mischievous daughter Miranda (Royana Black). Donald and Miranda rarely see eye to eye on things, and he regularly gets advice from Uncle Russell, who is no help because he is only interested in getting free pay-per-view on his TV. Donald's wacky and depressive neighbors, Mr. and Mrs. Hoodenpyle (Steve Vinovich and Miriam Flynn), try their best to help him out, but they have problems of their own to solve. Miranda's only escape is at school, where her best friend, Marcine Lundquist (Amy Lynne), always seems to get them into trouble. Together, the dysfunctional group forms one big happy family.
