Bencsik Béla, the president of the co-operative of the village of Borsány promises home, jobs and good salaries for newcomer families to convince them to settle down. He wants to prevent the community from being depopulated and the co-operative from going bankrupt. The initiatives of the president lead to a series of conflicts in the village (between the old and new families), the neighbouring villages and Borsány (are they able to pool their efforts or not?), as well as between himself and the administration of the county that will protect their own interest. As his adversaires, he escape from the conflict-situation into wild revelry. (official distributor synopsis)
