Plots(1)

Brothers Matt and John are joined by their three friends on a weekend getaway to a private island. Believing they are alone, the group decides to take full advantage of the island's gorgeous serenity. When the three guys in the group decide to go exploring and discover a mauled, bloodied and shredded body they quickly realize they are not alone. Dozens of wild, genetically enhanced dogs inhabit the island. The canines possess a terrifying, almost preternatural intelligence - and a ferocious appetite for human flesh to match! Roaming through the wild in feral packs, the dogs hunt the friends, repeatedly staging vicious assaults. In a wild attack one of the girls is bitten. Slowly she begins to display the same characteristics as the killer dogs; to everyone's horror they realize whatever the dogs have been infected with is contagious! A race against time becomes an intense battle for survival between Man and Beast, and only one species will emerge alive. English An unimaginative, mundane B-movie where the best acting performance is from a pack of dogs who you can’t help rooting for in their commendable efforts to eat the bothersome main characters. Even their barking contains more thought than the dialogs full of lines like “They were playing at being God!". The biggest problem is that it has not the slightest hint of atmosphere. If it were at least funny and the viewer weren’t just laughing at the expense of the creators, then this would have been just about acceptable. But not even this can be said of The Breed; this is simply ninety minutes of boredom. ()
