Anyone who lived through the '80s experienced the magic of Gremlins. For everyone else, now is the time to see one of the decade's defining movies, a wildly original blend of comedy and horror. When Billy (Zach Galligan) receives an adorable, mysterious pet named Gizmo for Christmas, he's given three rules for its care. Inadvertently, he breaks the rules, and a resulting army of duplicate furballs wreaks havoc throughout the town in this endearing and enduring box-office hit. (Warner Bros. Home Entertainment)

English Gremlins were a great childhood experience for me, but unfortunately, for them more than for other icons of that time, it applies that adults view them significantly worse. I laughed occasionally, even got scared once, but it will never be the same again. ()

English Even after all these years, Gremlins is a great comedy film with some excellent horror scenes. The work with the puppets is superb and there is nothing to fault it for. The film still comes across as extremely well made, and it's also aware of its place in time, both real (references to various films) and the time in which it takes place - Christmas. Everything is used to the story's advantage. ()
