A fading Egyptian police band arrives in Israel to play at the Arab Cultural Center. When they take the wrong bus, the band members find themselves in a desolate Israeli village. A slightly comedic melodrama in which seemingly nothing happens, yet it's full of stories presented to the audience without unnecessary chatter, but with a proper dose of dry humor. I laughed the most during the three-way date with the imaginative use of a handkerchief and a bottle of schnapps. While watching the film, I became convinced, among other things, that Arabic is indeed a beautiful language of soundscapes, and that the catchy rhythms of local traditional music can provide a strong positive energy.
