Ten Minutes Older is an unusual film – it is shot in just one take lasting exactly ten minutes. The camera observes children watching a puppet theater play. We don’t see the spectacle, just the emotional impact it has on one little boy. His face, often filmed at close range, becomes the center of our attention as it mirrors his soul. The film was meticulously planned and carried out by Frank in tandem with masterful cinematographer Juris Podnieks. Their task was challenging: an emotional reaction cannot be repeated.
