An Empress and the Warriors

Historical action drama set in Ancient China. Yen Feier (Kelly Chen) reluctantly takes over the throne when her father, the Emperor, is killed in battle. Feier and her father's most loyal general and trusted friend Muyong Xuehu (Donnie Yen) unite to defend the kingdom. However, Feier's ambitious cousin Wu Ba (Xiaodong Guo), incensed that he has been overlooked as heir, sends assassins to kill her. After being captured and almost killed by Wu Ba's men, Feier is nursed back to health by forest hermit Duan Lan-Quan (Leon Lai), with whom she falls in love. But with the fate of the kingdom hanging in the balance, Feier must make a choice between her duty and her dreams. (Cine Asia)
