Based on the true story of the William Brown murders, this courtroom potboiler set in 1842 Philadelphia tells the story of Nuggin' Taylor who is tried and convicted for mass murder at sea before evidence arrives that the Queen of England enlisted him to sabotage the slave trade. While gathering evidence at sea, a fire claims the ship he is on and despite his heroic efforts to save the passengers, the slavers place the blame on him. (official distributor synopsis)
