In accordance with custom, a sacred bull is allowed to roam the village streets. A young hunter is tasked with capturing it, but the villagers are divided. Some think the animal should be killed while others want to save it. This enchanting comedy is full of visual energy and hope that the joy of life and need to understand will ultimately take precedence over pointless bickering. In a simple allegory rooted in the realities of India, the bull comes to symbolise a free will that surpasses rational experience, and which civilisation wants to destroy in order to bend it to its overly strict rules.
