In my review of The Broken I wrote that it was unlikely that Afterdark Horror Fest 2008 would deliver anything better, but while I was watching the low-key Perkins’ 14 I began to think that I had overreacted. Unfortunately, by the end the film becomes a pretty contrived slasher and the awful performance of the protagonist goes beyond the bearable, but I’m still not going to regret that hour and a half, there are other films for that. A pretty pleasant surprise overall, but I can’t go further than 6/10 even if I tried. ()
