The 1930s on the Czech-German border, and the tension in the air is palpable. Detectives investigating criminal activity encounter an atmosphere of fear, threats, and political interventions. It's not exceptionally unique, but for Czech Television standards, the TV play is certainly above standard. It stands out for its successful depiction of the period atmosphere, solid acting performances, and overall decent craftsmanship. Overall impression: 70%.
