Blake Edwards had an incredible gift. He managed to combine comedy and drama in a film where they worked together perfectly. Here, however, it's a bit different than in his other rather comedic films. The first half is pseudo-comedic, only to transform into perfectly dramatic, harsh, and self-destructively cruel in the second half. Excellent acting performances! ()
