1919, Budapest. A commando kills the Jewish jeweller husband of the loose Mici, for his diamonds. By chance, Mici and her child are saved by the musician Rozsnyai. They flee to Italy together. They attend the cities, play music and sing. Stein's diamonds suddenly reappear from the toy teddy bear of the child. The family goes to Budapest and they purchase a night-club. Arizona will be soon of world fame and Mici becomes a star. The war reaches them, their son commits suicide and Rozsnyai will be deported. Mici brings her husband back from the train station. 1944. The Arizona is in ruins, both Rozsnyai and Mici, as well as their world, have all vanished. (official distributor synopsis)
