Western starring Joel McCrea and Sonny Tufts as two cowboys and friends 'The Virginian' and Steve Andrews. When Molly Wood (Barbara Britton), a pretty young schoolteacher from the East Coast, arrives in the small Western frontier town of Medicine Bow, the friends become rivals for her affections - a rift compounded by Steve's associations with cattle rustler Trampas (Brian Donlevy) and his men.
