In the 18th century Jonathan Green undertakes a scientific voyage from Europe to the east. Having passed through Transylvania he finds himself lost in a small village surrounded by impassable woods. The villagers have dug a moat to cut themselves off from the rest of the world in the belief it will protect them from evil spirits. What they dont realize is that the evil has made a home in their village and diabolical demons and creatures are biding their time until it is ready to unleash themselves upon the world. If it wasn't so amateurish in places and if it didn't look so unattractive, it would be an entertaining fantasy film with elements of comedy and horror, which was filmed in Czech coproduction and with some Czech locations. However, even this cannot save the strange fantasy that goes beyond the limits of tolerance.
