If it weren't sometimes so amateurish and didn't look so unpolished, it would be an entertaining fantasy film with elements of comedy and horror, which was shot in a Czech co-production and with some Czech locations. But even that can't save a strange fantasy that strays too far outside the boundaries of tolerability. ()
A decent fairy-tale. This film wants to be a horror movie but fails. It's dark fantasy with a religious tinge, which is passable. The breathtaking visuals, the awesome make-up effects and costumes and the decent atmosphere deserve praise. Of course, it wouldn't have hurt to cut the film slightly, there were a few deaf spots, which bothered me at times, but for Russia, an admirable performance. 65% ()
