Hillbillys in a Haunted House

En route to the Nashville Jamboree, country singers Woody Weatherby and Boots Malone and manager Jeepers are caught in a gun battle between police and foreign agents. Concerned for the health of the overworked Jeepers, the singers stop in a deserted town. When a storm breaks, they decide to spend the night in a ruined mansion. After encountering skeletons and a huge gorilla, the trio meets Madame Wong, the mastermind of an espionage ring. Wong, Gregor, and mad Dr. Himmil are using the house as a front. The mastermind and her bodyguard Maximillian steal an atomic formula from the nearby rocket base, but are pursued by Jim Meadows, an agent for M.O.T.H.E.R. (Master Organization To Halt Enemy Resistance). In the house, Woody and Jeepers enlist Jim's aid in the search for Boots, who has been abducted by the gorilla. Dr. Himmil and Gregor discover Boots and believe her to be a M.O.T.H.E.R. agent. A real ghost helps apprehend the spies, and the singers and Jeepers proceed to Nashville.
