Plots(1)

The Walking Dead follows a group of survivors who travel in search of a safe and secure home during the zombie apocalypse. The series explores the challenges of life in a world overrun by walkers who take a toll on the survivors, and sometimes the interpersonal conflicts present a greater danger to their continuing survival than the zombies that roam the country. Over time, the characters are changed by the constant exposure to death, and some grow willing to do anything to survive. (Entertainment One)

Season 4 (2013) (S04)

English We should appreciate the prosthetics and makeup used in the fourth season of The Walking Dead. Sure, if CGI is used, it is noticeable because it is not that perfect. However, some scenes really worked and benefitted from the practical effects of prosthetics and masks, which is nothing new in the zombie genre, nothing too groundbreaking in terms of characters, although it is still good in filmmaking techniques. ()

Season 5 (2014) (S05)

English The fifth season of The Walking Dead is an improvement for me over season four, although certainly not to the extent that I am as excited about the show as I am about its comic book counterpart. It seems to keep relentlessly going, although some development stays true to the comics to a certain extent. However, the show goes its own way as well, and on the one hand, that is good, but on the other hand, I just often find it quite tedious. ()

Season 6 (2015) (S06)

English The best moment of the sixth season of The Walking Dead is the finale. It is brilliantly shot, especially in the last scene. Sure, the final episode is simply a weird road trip. However, once it gets to what everyone wants, it is worth it. In addition, Jeffrey Dean Morgan proves how well he was chosen for the role. Also, the first episode of the seventh season is here, and it is one of the best and gnarliest ever. ()

Season 7 (2016) (S07)

English The seventh season of The Walking Dead is, in my view, an improvement over the previous three seasons, a step up. There are great gritty scenes and great fights. However, the tiger just looks too CGI at some points. Sure, he is probably always like that. However, it is too obvious at times. Plus, there are a lot of new characters, most of them interesting. In my view, a great season, for the first time in a while. ()

Season 8 (2017) (S08)

English The Walking Dead has gone downhill in terms of quality in its eighth season. All the time you are watching it, you feel like this is simply something to pass the time before you see the great big thing. Then the great big thing comes, goes away again, and you realize that this was definitely not what you were hoping for. We can only hope that season nine will be better so that we might be finally able to enjoy more action, better twists, and more interesting character work. ()

Season 9 (2018) (S09)

English The ninth season of The Walking Dead is great, and it is definitely an improvement over what was introduced in season eight. However, I am a little worried that the Whisperers and their potential will be overused and that the season is going to be unnecessarily drawn out. However, we shall see and perhaps I am wrong, and I hope so. Now for season ten. ()

Season 10 (2019) (S10)

English The The Walking Dead television series set off down a certain path and has not deviated much, occasionally completely resigning itself to practical effects which I think were better and more epic in the past, which is a shame because I think that was its saving grace. The show depends on the audience connecting with the characters, and if that does not do anything for you, you are probably not watching the show anyway. I think it has lost steam, so I have no great expectations for season eleven. ()
