St. Wenceslas

Opulent and so far the only film adaptation of the Czech patron saint’s life story. This high-budget silent film from 1929 was made for the millennial anniversary of Wenceslas’ death. At the time, it was the most expensive and epic Czechoslovak film. (Finále Plzeň)
