Atmosphere is what makes Exitus II: House of Pain intense and still unpleasant. Sure, what's depicted here is simply unpleasant in itself. But that's expected from a film like this. You don't watch it because you want to see something pretty or cute. But even the ugly can quite easily become boring and uninteresting, which happened in the case of Exitus II: House of Pain.
