Danny Millbright, a quiet foster child, finds an unlikely friend in a wandering lost dog. By Danny soon discovers that this is not just any dog - Teddy is the First Dog, with the White House as his home. When no one believes Danny's dog story, he takes it upon himself to return the pup to its presidential owner. So begins a young boy's adventure across America, filled with hardships and friendships, deception and danger, as others try to intercept Danny and this four-legged national treasure.
