While I think the visuals of Ashes are pretty awful, it's definitely not something that should deter you from watching it at all costs. It's not an outright bad film, it's just that it's not specific in any way. It's pretty classic in its subject matter, which makes it stand out very little, and which is also one of the reasons that many viewers, even horror fans, will not see it. ()
