When their shuttle bus crashes in the Sierra Mountains, two brothers along with four strangers find themselves marooned in the midst of a thunderstorm with sudden death staring them in the face. Before long, they are rescued by a mysterious man who invites everyone to take shelter at his log house nestled in the barren woods. Here they will stay until the storm subsides, but the house has its own plan for its new guests...the vengeful spirits inside want bloodshed. Seemingly trapped in a recurring nightmare, the group finds history repeating itself. (official distributor synopsis)

English This B-movie merely recycles the haunted-house horrors and ghostly principles of The Grudge. The atmosphere achieved through the use of decent visuals works in places, making you want to forgive even the most glaring clichés. But do not look for fear or suspense here. The actors are reliable and handsome, except for Val Kilmer, who is (paradoxically) the worst element in the film (even in the acting respect). Ving Rhames as the mysterious lord of the manor is very good at first, but later turns ridiculous when he tries to imitate the horror icon Tony Todd. The film is dragged further down by the embarrassing climax, which is supposed to be shocking and surprising, but has the opposite effect. ()
