English Nightmare is another beautiful example for me of how old horror films can be captivating, possessing something that new horror films don't always offer. Yes, of course, this is a horror film that primarily focuses on atmosphere and plot, but even contemporary films don't always achieve a similar effect. The ending might not suit everyone, but the madness that turns against the characters is an interesting element that adds just the right touch. ()
