English Do you know the Monty Python sketch Michelangelo and the Pope? In it, the Pope invites a famous painter to his rug and reproaches him for the fact that his painting of the Last Supper should definitely not have fruit desserts, the kangaroo in the back has nothing to do with it, there were definitely not twenty-eight disciples, there was also only one Christ.... And so on. This sketch was based by the Pythons on a real event, which is very well described in the Czech animated drama-documentary Pozor, pane Veronese. Paolo "Veronese" Caliari defended the Last Supper before the Inquisition in 1573, which he decorated with drunken soldiers in German uniforms, comedians, animals... Really interesting. ()
