Spectacular BBC One natural history series capturing some of the world’s greatest wildlife phenomena and natural wonders through the eyes of birds. Amazing sights from five continents are revealed in a whole new light as the six-part series joins the journeys of snow geese, cranes, flamingos, pelicans, eagles and other birds. Using cutting edge new filming techniques to show everything in exquisite detail, viewers have a uniquely privileged perspective flying with cranes high over the waterways of Venice or skimming with the bald eagle over the edge of the spectacular Grand Canyon. Earthflight unlocks the secrets of the skies, showing the world in a new and inspiring way. (Acorn Media UK)

English As part of the previews and the AFO festival itself, I had the opportunity (twice) to watch an amazing documentary that offers unique and unprecedented footage of the lives of our planet's avian inhabitants. Who among us hasn't ever dreamed of flying or wanting to fly? Thanks to this film, you can almost make that dream come true in the cinema – and in 3D! Even though an edited version was screened at the festival, you still got a complete story. I liked that they incorporated other, non-bird animals into the plot like flying manta rays, a voracious whale, and a feasting bear family, giving the film a broader scope and level of knowledge of the animal kingdom.
