English A lot of users here complain that this film is boring, uninspired; the same old fairy tale. But I personally liked the second/fifth outing of Spider-Man and got everything I needed at the cinema. On the audiovisual side, it is good, the effects are nice and impressive, and it was all underscored by Hans Zimmer's impressive music. The story was simple, but I wasn’t expecting anything else. I both laughed and grieved at the film and marveled at the action sequences. Halfway through, I thought I would only give it three stars, but the last twenty minutes made me rethink everything. In short, a typical popcorn movie that will disappoint especially those who expect too much from it – I was satisfied, though. ()

English With the overlapping romance with Gwen Stacy, who is very iconic in the original comics, this story takes on a new dimension. The friendly enemy is also quite a nice element. It really doesn't take much to make even the umpteenth Spider-Man interesting, just don't retell the original and it's much more consumable. ()

English How to rate a film that is visually beautiful, technically well-crafted and boosted by Hans Zimmer’s music, but its content is just so incredibly boring? After all, even animated movies for kids have more imaginative and fresher scripts that meet the kids’ parents halfway. Given that The Amazing Spider-Man 2 follows a long line of comic book blockbusters, the feebleness of its plot is unacceptable. Half of the film is filled with a romantic storyline, the monotony and clichéd nature of which leave the audience speechless, while the other half consists of skirmishes with bad guys that would look overused and dull already in the second instalment of Sam Raimi’s trilogy. Zero development, no winking at the viewer, nothing. Without any juice or a hint of creativity. Stale water boiled twenty times over. Nobody can make me watch the next episode; I’m quite done with Spidey. ()

English So this looks like the surprise of the year so far. I was quite worried, especially after seeing the dub-step trailers, but it’s good. In terms of story, maybe a bit too long, doing it harm, but still better than season one. Full of snappy lines and perfect, really elaborate action crowned by an iconic moment that once shook the foundations of the whole comic world. The repulsive Fox as Electro is watchable thanks to his skills, but anybody else would have been better in that role, anybody. Giamatti doesn’t make much of an appearance, but DeHaan makes the very most of Harry, Goblin is surplus to requirements and could have easily waited for the next episode. But anyway. After watching the trailers I was expecting a catastrophe, but in the end it was very strong number 4. I’m still happier with the overall mood than with Raimi directing. I’m looking forward the number three, it’s all started off very well. “What are you doing? No, I do the laundry." “Last time you did it, you turned everything blue and red." “Because I washing the American flag." ()

English This is exactly what you expect from a similar movie nowadays. There's a lot of action, it's heavily focused on special effects, the 3D looks excellent, it's occasionally funny, epic, and introspective, and yet I can't help but feel somewhat unimpressed. Modern CGI-filled movies unfortunately leave me cold, so I'm really glad that the screenwriters at least stuck to the canon and did exactly what every fan of the comic series anticipated. Moreover, it looks promising for the next installment, especially with the villains involved. ()
