Tengen toppa Gurren Lagann: Ore no Gurren wa Pikka Pika!!

If I had seen this episode as a stand-alone OVA, I would have probably only given it three stars. It does not bring anything new to the table compared to the original anime series, and it is too short for me to enjoy it; however, after enjoying the anime series, it put me in the mood for this. I am going to give it a thumbs up. However, I cannot award it a full rating for the aforementioned reasons. Plus, I found it does not even tie in with episode five because they did not clear up the mystery of how the cat got in and why Kamina knew it by name by episode five or the beginning of this bonus OVA. However, I am glad the cute creature showed up. So "only" four stars. (02/06/2015)
