English A simple and visually striking poetic story about a young boy who befriends a roller driver on his way home from violin lessons. That sounds a bit strange, admittedly, but there's no need to worry. There are no building horrors, Tarkovsky revels in views of roads and sidewalks with disjointed puddle shapes that deliberately evoke the abstract paintings that were "cursed" during the artistic era of socialist realism. Tarkovsky enjoyed a little rebellion and the viewer enjoyed a nice little piece. ()
