Thy Womb

Shaleha is a midwife whose profession takes her all over the Philippine islands. In spite of helping other people’s children to come into this world, her ironic fate prevents her from giving an heir to her husband. He desires children so much that Shaleha agrees with his second marriage. This enchanting film depicts the simple life, customs and inner serenity of the islanders, effectively creating the calm atmosphere of the Philippine life within the viewer. (Febiofest)
