The Life and Times of Paul the Psychic Octopus

Few an octopus in the world history has had an agent in charge of PR, but Paul did. Paul, who used to live in a German aquarium, correctly foretold the winner in all the seven matches of Germany as well as the final in the football World Cup in 2010. Six hundred broadcasting companies were present watching the last prediction. In the camp style film the aquarium employees, professionals of betting, football players, mathematicians and fortune tellers try to explain how the eight-tentacled creature always picked the winning country – and within a couple of weeks became a celebrity. The absurd media hassle caused by Paul is amusing, but it also makes one wonder about the personification of a single animal and the attempt to thereby explain the unknown.
