The adults lost the war and now the kids must save the world! Robots rule the streets and the people are locked in their homes. Stepping outside risks being vaporised by a hulking Sentry or picked off by a lethal Sniper. Through the ruins of Britain a group of kids, led by Callan McAuliffe, set out to join the Resistance. Hot on their heels however is their old teacher turned robot collaborator Mr Smythe, played by Ben Kingsley and his captive Gillian Anderson. (Signature Entertainment)

Before, I would say that this movie is a typical adventure for kids. Nowadays they call it young adults, so a movie about the youth for the youth. In this case a very bad movie about the youth for the youth.

I didn't think it was that bad. It's not a great spectacle, but some scenes are good. I don't know why it couldn't have been a bit grittier, though. When tackling such a topic, perhaps the presence of children does feel somewhat counterproductive, and the sci-fi aspect then just comes across as a fairy tale for kids. And that's what this film is, nothing more.
