With all the heart and humour audiences expect from Walt Disney Animation Studios, Big Hero 6 is an action-packed comedy adventure that introduces Baymax, a lovable personal companion robot, who forms a special bond with robotics prodigy Hiro Hamada. When a devastating turn of events catapults them into the midst of a dangerous plot unfolding in the streets of San Fransokyo, Hiro turns to Baymax and his diverse group of friends, who transform into a band of unlikely heroes. English The whole time I was watching the movie I kept thinking whether the movie was actually for kids. One boy dies, everybody speaks in a super bad-ass way and then I realized that todayʼs kids are probably different; I am not excusing the death but the bad-ass language. It was all based on these two points and I have to admit that the only cute thing was the inflatable robot and that’s before he learned kung-fu and before the Japanese genius put him in the aluminum suit. At the same time, I don’t think I really laughed watching this, especially when compared to Zootopia, for example. So, even though Big Hero 6 is not a bad cartoon, there is still a lot of negatives that bumped the final score down to three stars. ()

English I had some suspicion that it could be a good animated movie, and that suspicion ended up being confirmed. Besides the fact that there are actually superheroes in it, it is wonderfully action-packed, there are inventions and robots, and especially one specific robotic caretaker. Thanks to these characters, the film is incredibly entertaining, not to mention how amazing the animation is at times. Disney did it again. ()

English In a world where Japan won the Second World War (it really reminded me of Dick’s The Man in the High Castle), robotics are very advanced, the world is prospering and everything is sort of fine. Disney has come up with a great watch for kids in Incredibles style with an admixture of Stark Industries and they got me. There is a strong comic book element, but the creators work within the bounds of an intelligent kids viewing. Of course, Baymax is awesome and, even though the other characters are basically superfluous frills, nobody has time to notice. An entertaining tearjerker. Balalala. ()

English It's been a long time since I've given out four five-star ratings in one week, but Big Hero 6 is guilty pleasure as fuck and every guy's wet dream!! The visuals are incredibly good and at times I felt like I wasn't watching an animated film. All the high tech awesomeness was a joy to watch and I wouldn't have minded if the whole movie had been about robot wrestling, but even the Avengers choice was welcome with a villain that even Marvel wouldn't be ashamed of. All the good characters are likeable and I want Baymax at home! The awesome quips from Fred are pretty cool as well. Perfect entertainment that is both touching and twisted! 90% ()

English After the Oscars, I couldn't miss the Big Hero 6, so I headed to the cinema to see if the golden statue had landed in the right hands. Personally, I would have handed the Academy Award to How to Train Your Dragon 2, but Big Hero 6 is also an above average film that is both funny poignant and action-packed, something that many of today's animated films that are only aimed at younger audiences sadly lack. I liked the animation and the idea of an Asian version of San Francisco, which also had its own charm. Baymax the robot is an incredibly cute character who won me over right away, as did the other characters in the gang of young scientists. All in all, a quality and well-made animated film that perhaps pushes the envelope a bit too much at times in terms of lessons for the young ones, but it still impressed me a lot and is deserving of the rating.
