The movie "The Devil in Amityville" is indeed a somewhat lightweight horror, where the only scene that is really intense and made me cringe is the one with the garbage disposal. Otherwise, the pace is rather sluggish and the film can quickly become boring. The mythology develops in a strange direction here, and if the film were part of a different series or completely independent, it wouldn't change much. Nothing extraordinary happens, and the first and second installments remain the peak of the series for now. ()
