Just classic Nicholas Sparks, or rather a film based on his work. It's well set up, and there are interesting characters you root for, but towards the end, it just gets messed up. Of course, it just has to be dramatic, heart-wrenching, and tearful, because otherwise, it just won't work. The ending is an annoying construct that I outright disliked. ()
