The film follows Captain Asbjrn (Tom Hopper) who travels to Britain with his crew of Vikings with the intent of plundering rich monasteries on the coastline. However, when their ship is caught in a storm, they are forced to land at the only part of Britain without a Viking settlement and as they make their way towards the Danelaw, they come head to head with 'the wolf pack', a group of Scottish mercenaries under the command of the king. Can the Vikings find a way out of their difficult situation? (Entertainment One)

I feel like this movie wasn’t all that bad, right? It might have been produced by the Switzerland and the RSA, which is just weird for a Viking era movie, but on the other hand, it had gorgeous nature and the movie’s made Vikings into such charming dudes that even a kitten might lose against them. It was perfectly mediocre. It wasn’t bad at all, but it wasn’t smart either. ()
Of course, this is a B-movie, but considering it's a relatively cheap film, there are good costumes and actually some tricks around violence. It just looks good and you can definitely see the effort someone wanted to put into conveying something. It's not bad at all, like I thought, and it easily reaches the average. It's not a great film, but it's not a flop either. ()
