Yaku: water; aya: essence, blood. Yakuaya is a nonverbal documentary film dealing with the trickling down of water and life. The documentary follows the journey of a drop of water from birth on a glacier until it reaches the sea. Along the way, the water affects the life of a peasant, is contained in the rhythm of a water bottling plant, people conglomerate in the city, transforming the life of a woman, guides a river navigator, awakens hope in a desert and welcoms the innocence of two children at sea.
