Letter to the King

  • Norway Brev til kongen

Plots(1)

Directed by a Kurdish native, the film is structured around a group of fugitives in a refugee camp who are allowed to take a one-day trip to Oslo. Each of them has their own idea of how to spend the day – some inconspicuously immerse in the environment, others go through various struggles. They are all connected by the effort to thoroughly deal with their past and find a new beginning. The simultaneous observation of several protagonists reveals the dynamics of relationships and attitudes of the individual communities. Fast-paced yet low-key in tense moments, the drama sensitively observes the pulsing life in Norway's capital from the point of view of outcasts. (Febiofest)
