The young engineer and the pretty economist of a commercial company, on assignment in the country together, after having consumed quite a few glasses of brandy, wake up in bed together. As both live a happy family life, they wish to forget their passing adventure, but gossiping starts up around them. Zoltán's wife and Éva's fiancé are able to close their ears to the ill-meaning rumours, but when, with the leadership of the wife of the deputy director, the entire company lines up behind the cause of the "lovers", they are definitively alienated from each other.
