The satiric film, interlarded with burlesque elements is the caricature of the petty bourgeois. The hero, Kotlár spends even his holiday with his boss by jogging, in order to learn whether he will be nominated for head of department or not. A visit to his former class mate's luxury villa makes him realise how petty ambitions he had. He tries to marry his beautiful daughter to the stinking rich American guest whom he has met through the party secretary. The youth seem to like each other, but the boy would not propose, so Kotlár launches a compromising action. An unexpected guest arrives at the wedding ceremony: the former fiancé of Betti. He wants to kill his rival, who, in turn, though a bit late, arrives - in a reverend. (official distributor synopsis)
