Starting with the story of Jiří Kubalík's experience with the ruthless owner of a building in which he has lived for years, the film explores the issue of real estate speculation. Prague is home to many similar decaying buildings, many of whose owners are impossible to find, which are a blemish on the city's face, and which become a refuge for crime.
