Isaki Lacuesta - Naomi Kawase: Letter #2 28.08.2008

A letter about light. Between the leaves of the trees, we can identify the light source. Naomi is filming her first letter, inspired by her faith and the mysticism that surrounds her. We see a burning candle and hear human voices. We are given information that we are watching a prayer. Her first letter features Naomi's son Mitsuki. By its nature, the two filmmakers' correspondence shows their hesitation regarding this project while incorporating their personal lives in an attempt at coming closer to the other person's work.
