Jenny Lamour

A classic detective thriller, Quai des Orfevres centres on the efforts of the Maigret-esque Inspector Antoine (Jouvet) and his investigation into the murder of an elderly businessman. An early, more traditional work from Clouzot, who would later direct Wages of Fear, but shot through with his characteristically dark sense of humour. (StudioCanal UK)
