Dijo is an eleven-year-old refugee living in a Swedish orphanage. One day, a policeman appears at school, making inquiries about a murder case. Dijo is to be questioned as a witness. What neither the police, nor the teachers or even his fellow-pupils know is that Dijo is no ordinary witness. Back in Congo, this boy took part in massacres – as a child soldier. Haunted by the horrific experiences of his childhood, Dijo longs to unburden himself of his memories. (Berlinale)
