“The fact that television does not have a memory is also part of the ‘auralessness’.” So says the man who for decades gave television a memory – the collective memory of the German people. Oliver Storz: author, scriptwriter, director, TV personality. Whether it is with his experimental television plays or the Willy Brandt film, “In the Shadow of Power,” Storz always reminds us of our past in such an intoxicating way that we no longer can or wish to forget. Dominik Graf conducted the interviews with Oliver Storz for his film shortly before Storz’s death in summer 2011. Sometimes the memories appear hesitant and sometimes come in an avalanche.
