The story of a village located in the Horehronie region, Slovakia, told by its people is a reflection on social and economic reality of contemporary Slovakia as well as search for the meaning of existence and for the connection to the land. It is a quest for the roots, where keeping folklore traditions becomes not just some kind of romantic fancy of a rural society. Insistent social reality shifts elements of traditional way of life closer and closer to global issues. Praus's film offers an essay about a man, who once and again struggles for the sense of existence. (MFFK Febiofest)
