Tepeyac

Fiancés Lupita and Carlos must be parted temporarily when he has to go on a diplomatic trip to Europe. The ship he travels in is bombed and the newspaper El Nacional reports the incident. Lupita fears for her beloved’s life and prays to the Virgin of Guadalupe to look after him. In Lupita’s desperation, she looks for consolation in a book that tells the story of the apparitions of the virgin of Tepeyac. The story of these apparitions unfolds in her dreams. When she wakes up Lupita learns that her fiancé is safe, and upon his return they decide to go to the Basilica to express thanks for the miracle. (Guadalajara International Film Festival)
