The adorable chromatic instability of Super 8 in some childhood images of the producer and the director's voiceover open from intimacy a film that traces a poetic generation (that of the Cántico group in post-war Cordoba), but it is much more. A film of textures: various visual formats and words in time, verses that are woven in a discourse guided by the tribute but also by curiosity and chance. Beneath, the lively anecdote of the literary, vital event, often moving, as in that visit the young poet pays to the battlefield where his great-uncle Juan Bernier engraved the names of his heroes. Throughout, the film making itself, revealing itself along the way, in the shooting, both in its pauses and its margins. (Seville European Film Festival)
