The Gambler

A retired gambler develops a weakness for his new boss's granddaughter, and she talks him into gambling for her at the roulette table. As much as he tries to avoid trouble, trouble always seems to find him. The thriller, inspired by Fyodor Dostoyevsky's short novel, takes place in Mar del Plata, a beach city famous for its casinos.
